What The Friends do
Members of the Friends support St Columba’s in many ways, and we’re just getting started. Amongst other things, we:
Offer guided tours of the site
Carry out litter picking and clean ups of the churchyard
Help with historical research
Map the graves for genealogical study
Record inscriptions for posterity
Look after the monuments and artwork
Replace fallen trees with new saplings
Provide stewarding at events
Organise lectures and other functions
We work to ensure that St Columba’s treasures can be enjoyed by the local community and overseas visitors for generations to come.
